Yeah, the "it was a zillion years ago!" argument is always undercut by the existence of contemporaneous works that show empathy and compassion toward all people. Fuck you, McCaffrey.
It hasn't, to my knowledge, been verified that she actually made the horrible "tent peg" comment, but her views about sex and sexuality just as shown in her books are more than disturbing enough.
