there's a very specific brand of it that seems to come with the whole "sexual revolution" of the 60s here, where the idea is the ACTS aren't bad or traumatizing, only society's condemnation of it.
I can understand that argument for consensual sex--homosexuality, kink etc.--and asexuality. Obviously having unconventional sex or no sex isn't damaging aside from social stigmatization. Of course, the fact that Farrell and like-minded fuckers equate freely made sexual choices with forcible violation makes me all sorts of stabby.
