Ew, that does suck! I saw like, random chunks of an episode or two from Season 1 (roommates were watching it while I wandered in and out) and I thought the whole idea of the equalists was pretty interesting. What a bummer that the whole thing just deflated like that! And creepy too, ick. And what was the point of the leader pretending not to be a bender? Wasn't he able to take bending away from people? What, was he a voidbender or something?
It sounds like a pretty childish power fantasy, not what I associate with the Avatar franchise.
