That "love interest as antagonist" stuff is scary as hell. Aside from the implication that once you've been with a man, you belong to him until he's done with you, it's really close to the logic behind "no means try harder." I'm not the goal keeper trying to keep anyone away from my romantic affections in some great love hockey team. I'm not the goal, I'm not the puck, and I'm not the opposing team, and anyone who sees someone they think they're in love with as something to overcome needs to fix that.
