I've personally been followed by fewer spambots recently, but it probably has to do with things slowing down for me in general on Tumblr, and the reblog pornbots are definitely still there. So much for family friendly, Tumblr!
If you haven't touched the sitewide search setting you're searchable, since that's the default. My concern is with the people who don't want to be searched, since I don't think most users know about this option.
Op's LJ is gone but she's sparklesquid on here now! I've been wanting to read that essay again myself, but I don't think that one's been ported over. None of her LJ is, as far as I can tell.
