Part video essay and part fanvid, this is a damning look at how straightwashed the Marvel Cinematic Universe is compared to the comics. (Heads up, James Gunn shows up in the opening so exercise caution)

Yeah the amount of sheer research in there! The fanvid/essay format is innovative and certainly snappy, but I almost think I'd have preferred a more conventional video essay format because things pass by way too quickly and it would take multiple viewings to take everything in in any detail. The song was totally worth it, though. Such sad lyrics and gentle presentation for a searing effect. :(

APPROPRIATE ICON IS APPROPRIATE!

Yeah, I totally had to watch the video once for the song, once to pause a ton to catch everything. The song is totally up there with Slim Whitman's "Secret Love" for poignancy, though!
