Micah speculation
Warning: There are spoilers for the Season 3 finale. If you're not caught up, it's best not to look!
What was Micah trying to tell Angella before she flew off? "I'm not-" Not what?
For me, the only word that can follow naturally and that makes sense story-wise is "dead," as in "I'm not dead!"
Yes, I believe this scene foreshadows that Micah, against all odds, is alive.
Think about it. Was there any other person in the "perfect world" of the portal who wasn't alive? I know that kind of skews the sample because Micah is the only named and shown character who is (said to be) dead, but every other character we saw there was alive at the time the portal opened.
The audience were meant to assume Micah was a phantasm to complete the perfect world, especially due to the lack of known dead characters in general. But if so how did he have the agency to shout something after Angella that had nothing to do with creating a pleasant fantasy for her or Glimmer? Adora also comments on him looking different than his mural, and in fact I thought he looked older with the streaks of gray in his hair.
For these reasons I think Micah is alive like everyone else in the portal fantasy. We've heard repeatedly about Micah dying, but as far as I could tell there was no grave. What if he had survived the battle, but was trapped in a place he could not leave?
The only known place where a powerful sorcerer determined to get back might be unable to leave for years is Beast Island, which has been treated as basically a Fate Worse Than Death. Even with his powers Micah might not have been able to leave, but he just may have been able to survive.
Furthermore, if Catra's order to have Entrapta shipped to Beast Island was actually carried out in the confusion, Entrapta may be meeting up with him in Season 4. The joining of science and magic may just be the thing to help Micah escape at long last and rejoin his wife and daughter--well, his daughter at any rate. I'm hoping Season 4 will finally show us that dreaded place, and maybe bring one of Glimmer's parents back when she had just lost her mom as well.
That's the sequence of events that makes the most sense to me anyway. I really enjoyed Season 3 and look forward to Season 4!
