XD It may be you're not a big fan of stories based on dualist morality in general (or maybe the way such stories are magnets for douches who imagine they're the absolute good), which makes sense given that you said Judaism is the only religion that ever interested you.

Yeah, I think one of the things the prequels were meant to show was that the Jedi were flawed and incompetent. I don't think there would have been an Empire if the Republic weren't bursting at the seams with its own inequities and failures, and the Jedi were one of those systematic failures.
