Wow, the area looks beautiful - and feels doubly sad knowing that the body of water I'm seeing covers an area that used to be so significant. There's something about the major changes of landscape and the stories that comes before that moves me.

But, haha, despite the disappointment you're feeling, the fact that it does give you the advantage of being a bit more free with the geographical details is certainly a big plus!
