Word of God is an interesting concept, but sometimes it's my opinion the author is wrong. My roommates were fans of a show called Samurai Flamenco, which ends with one of the (male) main characters proposing marriage to another. Pretty cut and dried, right? Apparently Word Of God was that they were both straight, it was just a joke or something. And then you've got me, where I will change the canon after the fact if I like a fan's suggestion enough.
